Cool Vixen, with Jockey Juan Leyva up, put on a powerful performance to win at first asking. After breaking alertly, Cool Vixen found hersel in 5th position going to the first turn. Juan Leyva had no choice but to try and circle the field. After circling 5 wide for the entire turn, Cool Vixen still found enough left to wear the leaders down in the stretch.

It was a remarkable performance for any horse, let alone a first time starter. Cool Vixen showed she has all the potential to be a really good filly.
